New old guy.
Hello everyone, your old pal flieger here. 67 years old, retired from flying helicopters three years ago.
Started out with a Timex 1000. Went from that to a C-64 then on to a Kaypro XT clone, the Amiga 1000, Amiga 2000 and back to Windows machines due to work requirements.
Tried different distros over the years but always wound up going back to Windows. No more. Linux Mint has performed flawlessly for me and handled everything I have thrown at it so far.
I am using a dual boot setup since there are a couple of things I can't do under Mint yet, like run the GoPro Video editor. I'll be looking real hard at Wine.
Anyway, here I am and stand by for noob questions...
flieger, out.

as you said "yet" give it a bit of time and you will find something you are confortable with
Re: New old guy.
Rather than dual booting, have you considered virtualbox? I can testify to its simplicity and robustness; I use it daily to run ms sql and it has never, ever, ever crashed .
