Re: totaly unstable
Can you check for broken dependencies?
open terminal and type:
sudo apt-get check
Post what you get. If it doesn't show anything you should be ok. Also please list your specs so we can better help you with your problems.

Re: totaly unstable
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
this is what I get at the terminal.
what are the specs you ask for?

Re: totaly unstable
Looks like your dependencies are good. Your computer specs should include:
Manufacturer (Dell, HP...etc)
Processor
Memory Installed
Operating System(s)
Monitor
Anything else you might think would be helpful.

Re: totaly unstable
after installing some language packages it shown some colored dots on the display and after that is unstable.
it also shows me two different boot options, 2.6.24-19-generic and 2.6.24-16-generic
at the 19-generic is not either the sound nor the compiz fusion effects are working, in -16 is the sound working.

Re: totaly unstable
I have reinstalled Elyssa and the problem is fixed.
I am not going to try to change language again after this problem have occurred.
