Xsane Error - not working

Post by vinoman »

I was using xsane and hit a button and that basically wrecked xsane. I get this error message:

Error during CMS conversion. could not open scanner ICM profile.

I even uninstalled and reinstalled xsane and it still is messed up.

what can I do to get it to work again??

I googled your error message and came up with this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=750486 Never seen that message before. Maybe this will help.

This was a problem in Ubuntu Hardy. I have had other issues with it and this was it. I installed Mint 5 instead and now it's my main Linux distro. I installed xsane and now I can start fresh. :)
