Live DVD not booting

I downloaded and burned to a DVD the LinuxMint-5-KDE-BETA-045.iso, but when I reboot with it in my drive, it skips right past it to my hard drive without mentioning it. I checked the md5sum and my boot order. It was burned in windows with Roxio, and I tried burning it twice. I don't have access to my windows partition now for unrelated reasons, but I do have access to a mac osx machine. I am sure I burned the DVD incorrectly, so can someone tell me the winning method on a mac. Thanks.

I have gotten back into my vista partition. I have tried burning the DVD with cloneDVD, cute cd/dvd burner (checking the "bootable" box), and roxio. I used the same setting in roxio to burn a cd that booted. The md5sum is perfect, and i have consulted http://www.linuxmint.com/wiki/index.php ... ur_Live_CD . I cant figure this out. Can someone share the method they used to burn there kde dvd?

Sounds like you are just copying the .iso as a file to the dvd. You have burn as an image. Look for program called BurnCDCC, all it does is burn .iso images.

If your on windows, "iso-burner" program works also, it's freeware, and simple drag and drop burning.
