Hi all, done a few searches for this but can't seem to find anything. The "how to" doesn't seem to have an answer either. At the moment the "clean up by name" only seems to put the desktop icons in a vertical line up. I like arranging them horizontally at top of my screen but can't seem to find an option for it. Dragging them manually seems to drop them on top of each other.
Also, I can't find a way of making the desktop icons smaller.
If someone can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.
Apart from the above, this distro is brilliant. The first time everything (multimedia) has worked straight out of the box! Even most of the buttons on my multimedia keyboard work. No stuffing around... Just added Nvidia drivers, got rid of Totem, Brasero and Rhythmbox and replaced them with Kaffeine, K3B and Amarok and all is well.
Needless to say, my donation has been sent.

Re: Resizing and Moving Desktop Icons
Nautilus is the official name of your file manager. When you open your Home folder, you will be using Nautilus. You should be able to follow Husse's instructions from that point. Have fun.

Re: Resizing and Moving Desktop Icons
OhOh
I did that. The icons changed size but the icons in Desktop has disappeared - I had ddnmint as an icon
How to get them back?

Re: Resizing and Moving Desktop Icons
I dragged & dropped. It seems to have worked. Why it went off beats me, though
Re: Resizing and Moving Desktop Icons
Running Mint 5 KDE. My default file manager is konqueror. I went to view, icon size, but that only dealt with konqueror, not the desktop. I would like to reduce the size of the desktop shortcut icons. I will continue looking while awaiting someone to steer me in the right direction.Husse wrote:In Nautilus (the file manager)
