I noticed a few people spotted the presence of BETA024 :) BETA024 was the latest built of Cassandra. It went Gold last night and became Cassandra Stable. If you've already downloaded BETA024 you don't need to download it again, it is essentially the same iso file as the stable release.

Thanks!
I found it earlier. Downloading now at turtle speed. :o

Clem, is Mint compressed on the disk? Another distro claims it has nearly 2 GB compressed on a cd.

Yes, it's compressed with squashfs to fit on a 700MB CD. It contains approximately 2.6GB of data (that also explains why it's so slow to run from the liveCD).

Wonderful! Thanks Clem, I did see the Beta024 but didn't download because I wanted to save bandwidth. Cassandra, here I come!

- The start homepage from linuxmint.com still says Beta012
- Will we see a news message about Cassandra at distrowatch?

Edit:

I can see it now on linuxmint :-)

Kinne: For linuxmint.com it must be your browser or proxy cache. Ladislav (from Distrowatch) is sometimes very busy but it never takes long before distrowatch.com is up to date and we always send him an email after we release a new version of Linux Mint.

Congrats, clem.
I'm running Beta014, which is great, as I download Cassandra Final.
Long live Mint!

Cheers

I'm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and am having absolutely no luck in downloading. My downloads either stop completely or slow to a crawl. Any suggestions as to what is a recommended time of the day for downloading? I tried torrent but it wasn't any better than http.
