Last night, I used my daily driver laptop to make a full LM21.3 Cinnamon install on a 16GB flashdrive.
of course, during that process, you have to tell it where to place " / "
and that should have ONLY pertained to the install of Mint on the flash drive.
but, alas, it wrote it to my laptop also, which boots on the OEM NVME drive, and then points to the SSD for mint....
2 things were the result,
the flashdrive was useless now, won't boot, has to be reformatted.
the laptop booted into Grub with an error....
Booted up the Live Session, and ran Timeshift, pointed it to yesterday's snapshot, and told it to RESTORE.
wunderbar, the laptop is working just like it always has.
so, pulled out the old ancient ThinkPad and used it instead....
it made a working USB flashdrive that comes up in LM21.3 Cinnamon
handy little thing to carry in your pocket, for those emergencies with family or friends PCs that need help.

Reason: Moved from Software & Applications to Chat about Linux Mint because this is a not a request for help with a problem with Linux Mint.
