LM installation on Asus X71SL-7S004E

hi all, Iam a very basic user of LM on a desktop, and I would like to install LM on my old but still very good laptop ASUS X71SL. I searched on the forum: there were some problems with Sound Card and the camera in the past and, before to format the HD and to launch the LM installation, I wish to know if somebody has experimented any other problem and if I have to do something to avoid a bad experience.
