Hiyall,
In 2011 I purchased an Asus netbook with Windows 7 Starter Pack. Many years later and certainly well-past my discovery of Linux and Mint, I wanted to use it again for a real job, as a "loungeroom" computer accessing my networked music.
I use a SOtM clock interface that forces me to use Windows.
My problem is that I can't activate Windows without paying! (after 12 years!)
Asus help desk won't help me.
What do I do?

G'day Peter,
you would be better off in asking this sort of question in the Windows Section
- over on on the washing machine site -
the OZ forum, that is.
as this forum is supposed to be about LinuxMint Tech Support.

Hiyall,
I think I;ve found a better idea. Don't use Win at all! I have loaded a Linux DE instead and will use a 64bit laptop for my needs.
