Quick note to BETA 021 testers: If you already have Celena BETA 021 you don't need the stable release unless 3D effects do not work with your nVidia card. The only difference between the two releases is the version of Envy that comes with it.

Quick note to BETA 017 testers: Upgrade instructions will be posted in the forums and the wiki very shortly.

Quick note to Cassandra users: Upgrade instructions will be posted in the forums and the wiki very shortly. However we recommend you perform a fresh install from the Celena CD.

Enjoy Celena,
Clem.

I deeply apologize for the dumb question. I am getting my R51 refurbed Thinkpad in tomorrow. I was planning on installing Cassandra.

So is this new release of celena - Celena 3.1 the final release as such? not a beta or a beta of a beta?

Do you recommend i install Celena 3.1 tomorrow or today if I get it in? I am absolutely new to Linux and Mint so be kind, but please advise.

Thank you.

I jumped on the torrent also but it's not pulling down anything. Should I just switch to the HTTP download instead?

Hey "GreyLittleWizard", be sure it is the final release! It is the result of many hard working people all around. Read a bit in the forum and you can easily find out that clem marks every beta or gamma or delta in a very clear manner. :D

It's downloading really fast - around 750 kB/s
As soon as it's downloaded I will start seeding
Edit I've been seeding since 23:05 my time - I'll let it go for a couple of days

GrayWizardLinux, if you do not get a set of recovery discs with your Thinkpad be sure to create a set before you install any other Operating Systems. They will get you back to a starting point in case anything goes wrong. Other than that it should be a breeze installing Mint.
