Re: Will LMDE ISO Ever Be Updated?

Any update on when the new ISO's will be released?

EDIT - Sorry, just saw the answer in another post. Looks like they are in QA, and are moving through the process.

Re: Terminal font is Black on Black - Which config file?

Awesome! Thanks! Found it in Edit Profiles. Nice to see what I'm typing, and what the responses are.

SOLVED: Terminal font is Black on Black - Which config file?

Installed LMDE and run through the update packs successfully. Unfortunately, the Terminal font for input is black on black, so I cannot see what I am typing nor can I see the responses. What config file must I edit to correct this? Attempted some blind command line fixes but to no avail.

LM14 Xfce running Cinnamon?

(Don't know if this should be in the "newbie" forum or here...) I first installed "Nadia" with Cinnamon on my HP Mini 311 netbook (my first modern experience with Linux); loved it, but it was slower than I would like. Tried Bodhi Linux but Enlightenment was a complete turn-off. So I installed LM14 X...

Re: SOLVED LM 14/Cinnamon on HP Mini 311 - review partitions

I have begun testing applications for Kelly and suspect I'll need a larger than normal root as a result. Based on what I've seen so far with Mint/Cinnamon, I probably will not need to try different distributions, so I'm just going to focus on creating an environment my spouse can use with minimal ef...

Re: LM 14/Cinnamon on HP Mini 311 - review partitions

Thanks, remoulder; I'll drop a spare HD in and redo without the /boot partition and with smaller /root and swap partitions. Interestingly, I think the default install created a relatively large swap area. I have that on the spare HD so I'll check it before overwriting with a fresh install, but I'm m...

SOLVED LM 14/Cinnamon on HP Mini 311 - review partitions

I'm new to Linux, having primarily used MS-DOS/Windows machines since the mid-80's. To try Linux I chose to install Mint 14 on my HP Mini 311, (3 GB RAM, 160 GB drive). I intend to use this to determine if I can make Mint the primary OS for all my home PC's, including my wife's laptop, so I'll be pl...
