I have it and love it. I am running the current version of Linux Mint 18.1 and doing so without issue. Just make sure that you update to the latest BIOS:

I am having this same issue. If anyone can lend a helping hand, it would be greatly appreciated. CrashPlan appears to install without issue and upon trying to run it, the spash screen appears like normal and then disappears as if CrashPlan is not running. Odd.
