That did the trick. Thanks a lot!
EDIT: Actually closing xviewer makes the issue come up again, only to be solved if I `rm -rf .config/xviewer` and reboot. Looks like this merits a big report after all

Xviewer doesn't open any files. How to "reset" configuration?
Xviewer doesn't open any files. This is after installing the LM 21 Cinnamon beta, and copying over a home folder from a 19.3 install. I checked that the files I'm trying to open aren't corrupted. I've also not submitted this as a bug in the LM 21 Beta because in the LiveCD it works normally, so I'm ...

Re: Linux Mint 21 beta to stable
Okay, I guess I might have worded my question poorly, because I only meant to ask this: "For the betas for previous releases, what is usually the procedure (if any) to go from beta to stable, or is the only recommended procedure a fresh install of the final stable release?". That is all I ...

Re: Linux Mint 21 beta to stable
Let's start with the fact the beta has not yet been released. So asking for instructions on how to upgrade from the beta to the stable version is asking for directions on how to upgrade from something, which is not yet available, to something else, which is also not yet available. None of this will...

Re: Linux Mint 21 beta to stable
Hold on. You should really give a bit better explanation for this. Not just state it as a fact. While that is typically the case there is no guarantee of it. We have had issues in the past that required running some extra commands to deal with things that couldn't be done just via updates. The risk...

Linux Mint 21 beta to stable
Simple question:
My new computer arrived today If I install the beta of Linux Mint 21 coming this week, can I seamlessly upgrade to the stable release once it comes out? Will it be identical to fresh-installing the stable release? Or should I just wait for the stable version? Thanks

What GPU driver should I install
I have a notebook with integrated Intel graphics (Ivy Bridge) and a discrete graphics card from AMD (7970M). I am unsure what exactly should I do to install drivers for both, how should I prevent them from conflicting, and how am I to switch between the two GPUs. I would appreciate some help.

Duplicate apps upon installing MATE on LM14 Cinnamon Ed.
I've installed MATE on a LM14 Cinnamon, and now I have several duplicate apps: 2 archive managers, 2 calculators, gedit and pluma Text Editor, etc. Is there anything I can do to correct this? For example, only show the Cinnamon specific apps in Cinnamon and the MATE ones in MATE? BTW I've installed ...
