Just tried my Canon on LM14 and gThumb freezes on first image. worked fine before LM14. [EDIT] Just installed shotwell which downloaded from my camera just fine so I guess the issue is with gThumb 3.0.2. I'll just delete gThumb for now as getting gThumb 2.14.3 to compile on LM14 looks to be an optio...

Just thought I'd follow up to say the Huawei E220 works fine on Mint 14.1 so modemmanager V6 has fixed the bug.

That did it - but how I missed this bug report in Launchpad I don't know.
It seems that support for E220 is well and truly busted in Modemmanager 5.
Until an update gets issued I will just do the workround:

cat /dev/ttyUSB1

Which works for me fine and is no hassle.
