Re: Linux Mint 20 freezes randomly and almost daily

I don't know if that help, but I had daily freezes with the last kernel update 5.4.0-45. Reverting to 5.4.0-40 solved the problem.

[SOLVED]Re: No sound after 18.1 fresh install

HI Pjotr,
I had not updated my kernel with a package that was marqued level 5 with a red "!" . I thought this could be detrimental, and actually that was the reverse. Now sound works fine.
Many thanks for your encouraging support.

Re: No sound after 18.1 fresh install

Hum, I do not know how to do this. I can find the list of available kernel in the update manager, but the only choice is to delete a kernel, which is probably not what we want ?

SO I do not use special effects. I had sound working fine until I re-install. I was already with 18.1 before that I obtained fr...

No sound after 18.1 fresh install

Hello, after a fresh install of 18.1, I have no sound at all. In the sound parameters setup, there are no input nor output device shown (just "sortie fictive" i.e fictive output) , as if the sound drivers had not detected my hardware. Any idea ?
Thanks a lot

I completly supressed and reinstall cinamon, suppress/reinstall many packages related to "themes" and f...
