I don't expect someone to work on the software or problem.
All I was hoping is to find somebody who used the program and already know the solution. You can't avoid using this piece of software. It is obligatory to interact with some governmental services.

Contact your government.

They don't give support to Linux Mint. They suggest to use Pardus (National Linux Distro based on Debian).
You have the same suggestion as they do as far as I understand.

Same problem here. wifi not working, ethernet card is not working, sound card is not working, cinnamon is at fallback mode. I have to return 15 and uninstall 20. Reverting makes everything correct and fine and smooth again. LM 18.3 i7-7700 nvidia 1050 First time have experienced this kind of problem...

Your solution is very helpful to me. I didn't experience a similar problem in the past but using several languages on my installations now makes me more careful and a hint in mind.

Just a status update.
The specific computer still on duty and running LM 18.3 xfce.
All I have done is following the update instructions at every update.

I use 4 different computers on my daily routine. (I like desktops instead of laptops). All my computers are running LM 17.3. 3 of them are on Cinnamon and 1 is on xfce due to less graphical power. (Linux Mint is the only operating system installed on those computers. No VM, no Wine, No playonlinux.)...
