Yes Steam games.Vincent Vermeulen wrote:Hi, would those be Linux games (Steam being on Linux now and all) or running those on Windows? Regardless, you may get more feedback on forums dedicated to hardware, like AnandTech or Tom's Hardware.

Re: Where is the best place to buy hardware?
I know that with newegg you get your product pretty quickly by UPS. Amazon uses FedEx and it takes about three times as long to arrive. Really? That's horrible. I have heard from Youtube that the people who buy from Amazon, they usually have to delay lots of their videos about computer builds becau...

Building Advise
I'm am building a new computer, and I am writing lots of things down in a document, with suggested computer parts. I'm putting together 2 different computers, and want to see what will fit better in my budget. An Intel build and a AMD build. As of now, I'm not finished; but I do want some suggestion...

Where is the best place to buy hardware?
I know of sites like newegg, and tigerdirect, and Amazon. But What do you consider the best place to buy the hardware, in terms of deals, and reliability, and services provided. What are the good and bad of each of the websites. I hear Amazon isn't so good, because some people get DOA (dead on arriv...

Get presents, and relax. Imma get some of my friends gifts, and some family some gifts. Just relax, sleep in, learn about computers, it's a hobby for me. Maybe try to learn more about building a website. I wanna chill with some friends too, and maybe talk to them about starting a small computer busi...

Re: Which mint version is better?
Mint 13 offers Long term support, which means that they will support that version until 2017, and mint 14 is not. They will support that version until 2013. However, Mint 14 probably doesn't take much more speced out hardware than mint 13, so it will not matter too much. If you want the newest versi...

Best Desktop Recorder?
Hi I was wondering what you consider the best desktop recorder out there. I know of a few like "recordmydesktop" and "Kazam", but what one will be the best to record gaming content, with games like Skyrim, and other of the latest games. Do you think that these apps will be good e...

Imagine what 2013 is going to be like? With Android really taking a hit with the Nexus line, and Steam coming for Linux distros, this is also going to be a big year for Linux.

Re: Steam Linux Beta - who's signed up for it?
I did not. That is because when the time that this was news and popular to people, I was just getting into Linux, and I was a total newbie. So I didn't really need to be getting into Steam. Plus, I didn't need it. I didn't play that many games. Now, though I don't need to be a beta member, I just ho...

Re: Linux Mint Gets Ranked
Nice video. That one Microsoft Operating System looks like something crazy hard to use. Who in the world would want to study a book that big to understand how to use the computer. I would never want to use that kind of computer, unless it was all downloaded into my brain. We aren't there yet, so I'l...

Hi, I'm new to Mint too.
I just wanted to try something other than unity, and I am liking Cinnamon a lot. Looks and feels really nice.

New Here!!
Hi I have tried many different operating systems, and I finally came to Linux Mint. I had a lot of trouble installing Mint 14, so instead I installed 13, and it was no problems at all. In my opinion, Linux Mint is really really good. I am thinking for my new build, a powerful computer I will be buil...

Re: What are your top tips for a Newbie?
I agree with the first post. There will be a lot of reading and studying about other Linux too. Read a lot of Wikipedia pages about different distros, and different user interfaces. Also if you have any questions, there are so many different forums for just about every distro. You can ask anybody, b...

Re: Having Trouble Getting This To Work
Instead I downloaded Mint 13, instead of 14, and got this to work. My best guess is that there is a problem with the link to the download, or something like that, because I read another post that Mint is difacult for some people to install. It was anoying, but I got to try cinnamon

Re: Trouble installing Mint? Me too. Here are some things to
I got to agree with you. I am having trouble with Linux Mint too. I know I am successfully downloading the .iso, and I am trying to use it in virtualbox. I made a thread earlier to try to get help, and but the help someone gave me still did not work. I have other operating systems that work very wel...
