A notice came on that root was about 98% full. / is about 30 GB on a 750 GB Drive. Yes I do need that much for /. Most people don't. I do. I previously had a tmp partition of 15 GB which I really did need, but for some reason temp stuff would wind up in / so I got rid of tmp and added 15 GB to root....

I think I tried FF w/blank page. Will try again as you suggest. FF will eat memory even when not connected to the Internet.

Update Manager just released FF 68.0 ... last night will run update this morning in a few minutes, Hope that works. For several months FF has been eating ll the memory and swap. Alarm Clock

HDD churns, Processor runs at 100% and swap is activated after Alarm Clock runs it's alarm (a song). This started happening after the last several mint updates. Swap is usually at 0% otherwise.
