Re: wifi issues

Obviously I should have specified in the first place that it's not my network and I do not have access to the router just the password. So I'm not able to do steps 3 and 4 because they're out of my power but, I did do steps 1 and 2 of course. For what it's worth the PS3 in the same room very close t...

Re: How do I get to my external hard drive?

After doing a bit of research it would seem it does make a difference that I'm using WD as (at least on the official Western Digital forums) it is mentioned in reply to people with similiar issues that there is no Linux support and it is a better idea to get a different brand of external. Alas, this...

So, the USB Mass Storage driver wouldn't be it? Yeah, it is plugged into one of the rear ports on the computer. No I have n...

I have been able to test it on another machine (a Windows one, mind you) and it works. Assume it's USB So can you post result of dmesg | grep -i usb Yeah ...

How do I get to my external hard drive?

The icons in Computer are "CD/DVD Drive", the 4 generics, and "File System" none of which are my external (tested them all). The external is most certainly connected (double checked the cords). From googling around most people say Mint should automatically detect the eternal but that doesn't seem to...
