Re: How can I track events during Shutdown?

it would depend on the actual error:
For X-related errors, files of interest are:
/var/log/Xorg.0.log

You may also find useful information about various errors (not only X) in:
/var/log/pm-powersave.log

Note: that some of these Files are a Binary Files & not a plain text file.

Re: System will not halt

yeah - - it would help to know, which kernel, it is that you are using,
you can determine this from the Boot Menu, and before you hit Enter to bypass the Boot Timer.
- assuming that you are getting some Boot Menu - - if not, hold down the Shift Key during the boot-up.

Re: Suggestion: For Mint 20 to go full Debian

so, if the project went to Full DEBIAN, then any software from the Ubuntu system, wouldn't necessary be incorporated into the LinuxMint project. :) however, the current LMDE project should get maintained into the for-see-able future. 8) it is obviously up to the LinuxMint.Team to take on board, any ...

Yes - - you can move the LHS of SDd 3 to the right, and then allow some time for the data to be shifted across, & then move SDd 2 to the right as well, and allow a bit of time for that Data to be moved, then finally, extend the RHS of SDd 1 to the right & then allow some time for the data to be shif...

Re: About linux mint debían edition

one of the Main Differences with the LMDE is that you can't use PPAs to install anything new,,
so you do have to use the Software Manager a bit more, than you normally would do.
