well, mintd , did say that it was only used with LinuxMint . . :) do check with both Disks & with Gparted - to see if either program, - will re-format that usb stick - do an full format, to check, though. most of the older size usb stick, were formatted to Fat32, and the larger size were formatt...

- is to use an usb stick - as the shared folder -

you could even, just leave the windows system, as is,
but, shrink it's C: drive, back to something that is 10% larger than it's file system.
and recover that drive space, for an expansion into the LinuxMint Cinnamon system.

mostly this side of Y2K

it was with Mandriva / Mandrake, from some UK magazine.
then onto Ubuntu with all of those delivered disks, of theirs
Finally onto this LinuxMint System,

there is No repair solution, here.

you will have to erase that D: (ext4) partition - from the installer,
and then format it to NTFS and let the windows installer do the rest.
