Himj246969,
welcome to our forum.
you should find that most of your needed programs are already available,
on your new LinuxMint System, and that only the odd extra is needed.

Re: Windows10 to VM
you do that from Package Manager aka synaptic - to search for any reference to "virtualbox" and Mark all for Deletion, then click on Apply to do that, :) reboot the machine, afterwards, too. NB: this won't remove an existing VMs that are inplace on the machine, and they will be recognized ...

Re: Windows10 to VM
this is one of the scenarios where it is suggested to get the latest version - from the Oracle Web Site - rather than ussing the version from Software Manager . . - use the default of 128Mb for the video memory. - use the default file location, as well. you can place that elsewhere, but it's an hass...

Re: How to install Cinnamon 21.3 onto a Windows 10 PC?
these modern PCs were all designed to only Run that windows system. you are on the right path though, and you just need to work through those issues. there is an issue, as mentioned above, with the secure boot on the standard ISO file, and if you are on-line as well . . thus, try again with F...

Re: Linux Mint is destroying my new USB sticks!
all of those usb sticks - were designed to work on that windows system - not so much on an mac / linux system - the bigger sizes also come as fat64 / exFAT formatted - rather than fat32, for example, and linux doesn't always play nice with the supplied fat64 file system. thus, what you should do, is...

Re: Struggling with BitLocker to install Linux
after you have done what SMG has asked for . . the Windows Boot Loader is probably blocking the Linux Boot Loader  try booting with the LinuxMint Live Media aka your usb stick, then Run the LinuxMint Boot Repair Tool that is in the system tools area. do post, back here, on how that went . .

Re: SD card has become read-only....SOLVED
in the main - these cards were designed to be used with that Windows System
thus, when all else fails - it pays to go back to that operating system.
you can - sometimes - get these cards working again - by using software for that system.
