This is similar to my post "Windows XP wont boot - Grub error" where I installed Elyssa Light on an external USB hard drive. I am totally new to Mint and wonder if your suggestion would meet my needs.

I have attempted to view the Users Guide from the Wiki introduction section and in each instance am informed that the link has been not found . The howto link whilst working seems to be devoted to installing which is not quite what I am looking for. Is it possible to either have the links reinstated...

I can confirm that the NTFS partition has the boot flag check marked. Running sudo grub produced : [ Minimal BASH-like line editing is supported. Fornhamfred Using Opera (my favoured browser) I always had no end of problems with anything BBC but today I was able to listen to live radio. What have you done that others don't seem to have been able to do? I have been trying to access the BBC iPlayer in the UK for live radio only to find that they keep wanting me to use Real Player or WMP neither of which I want.
