Updating Linux Mint 14

I have Linux Miint 14 and have problems with the updating this version. Message: Can't connect to packages.medibuntu.org http: This message appears everytime i try to update the system since i installed Linux.

After installing the Nvidia 304.x driver another crash occurred so i tried the Nvidia 310 version and this far with little problem i even could shut down the system in sleeping mode, this gave me problems before. When the crashes return i will be back but sofar sogood!

I have installed Linux Mint 14 and am very pleased with it, however it happens regularly that the systems crashes after say 15mins. Have to give a "cold start" to get it running again. You say then map it directly. How do i do that?? I can see the map \\lintje\openbaar on my winlaptop, but this map is empty.

I now have been able to see my Lin-comp. on my Win labtop. Had to switch off the linuxfirewall. Seen the Hp deskjet printer. This printer is controlled with a driver for linux, i don think i will be able to send a printjob to my linuxcomputer from my winlaptop. Anyway thank you for your help.

how to boot from usb

Have Win 7, downloaded Linux Mint extracted the files.Maps .disk,casper and isolinux are visible.Copied this to usbstick.Changed the settings in BIOS to startup from usb and no success, am still getting Win7. What do i do wrong??
