Re: Eye Of Mate (EOM) crash?
Excellent! With this image I can reproduce the issue. Testing a couple of other 700x1000 pixel images, JPG and PNG format, it is reproducible with all. I tried an image 4 times as big (1400x2000 pixel) and that worked fine here. I suspect it may have something to do with the 700x1000 pixel image no...

Re: Eye Of Mate (EOM) crash?
It wasn't the image since I can view it fine with comix and gthumb. Does it occur for other images as well? Can you reproduce it with images from other sources? Might it be a problem with the specific source of your image, like if it comes from your photo camera. Anyway, I have found way to reprodu...

Re: how to stop from either recommend install openjdk or gcj
@eanfrid: oh ok, thank you. When I read most of the instructions on installing Oracle Java, they would recommend to first remove openjdk so it rather surprised me it would force the other installation. @cortman: umm... using a normal purge: sudo apt-get purge openjdk* then it'll proceed with install...

Re: [SOLVED] Hidden Location of Wireless option MInt 14
which one do you suggest or at least more safer when updating "via synaptic" or "via update manager"? or those two are the same? I don't want to have re-install wireless modules everytime I update something especially like kernels and such.

Anyway to track changes of files, folders, etc
I don't know if it is possible but is there way to track for any changes that have been made to files, folders, and sub directory? and print the output in log file? The reason is I have this habit of deleting files using keyboard shortcut "shift+delete" so I have the need for a log file. I...

Re: How to permanetly disable recent files! Mint 14
If you don't want the bookmarks, places and recently files to show up on Menu, you can go to "Preferences - Cinnamon Settings - Menu tab" and untick/uncheck/unmark the "Show recent files" option. Done. It'll gone at least not visible on the menu.

Re: Installing more than one language make linux slower?
To my amaze, Firefox seems to be the most with higher CPU (45%) , memory (12%) usage and I only opened 6 tabs in firefox. The second would be Xorg and maybe Chrome too. I don't think opening big images have anything to do with it. I can open it fine in windows 7 with no lag memory. I have dual-boot ...
