It's a good distro but I got frustrated with the lack of ability to customize it in the ways I like. So did not keep it long.

I'll second Pierre suggestion of xfburn one of the first things I install on my computers. It's just a simple straight forward tool that works.

I think you may have hit on the problem , It's the Mac High-bird 32 bit thing - 32 bit machines would only recognize 3 GB of ram. and thus that is what this machine is recognizing. Memory: 757.1/2977.1MB even if the processor is 64 bit if the bios is 32 bit it's not likely to recognize more than 3 G...

Hi, Yes sda5 would work fine the installer will find and mount the swap partition. The extended partition will be automatically mount if needed. my question is are to looking to replace 18.3 or keep it? if you want to replace it , it is as simple as just selecting it's partition to install Mint 19 on and it will erase 18.3 When 19 installs grub it should find windows 7 partition and allow you to dual boot.
