Re: USB Install not Booting

Hello ADDedValue62 and Welcome to Linux Mint Forums,
I would suspect it to be graphics card problem (Although could still be UEFI) if they have Nvidia Card please see release notes under solving freezes.
good luck.

Re: CPU is it possible is getting slower?

You can gain some space in the / directory as was mentioned above by deleting unused kernels. I also use ubuntu-cleaner found here to keep this a little cleaner.
you can install from this ppa.

Code: Select all

Hello overkill22, You did not say which desktop your using There are many things that can cause a machine to slow down. Starting with the amount of ram and what is running in the background. Re: Both Firefox and Chromium fonts straining to the eyes

in Firefox there is a setting under preferences > Languages and Appearances > Click Advanced and there is a checkbox about half way down on the dialogue box that comes up that says "allow pages to choose their own fonts. uncheck that box and then the system fonts should be used.
good luck.

Re: Missing GIMP icon and changed Firefox icon

Only thing I can think of is that something changed your theme I don't have KDE installed at the moment so can't tell you exactly where to go
to look , but I would use the breeze or oxygen theme and Icon layout. see if that works.
