Hi nik33 and Welcome to Linux Mint Forums. I've never used freefilesync but they have an Ubuntu 16.04 downloads that should work on mint 18.3. Mint is based on Ubuntu 16.04 so just ask your question about ubuntu 16.04.
but the page I gave you should show you how to install optimus and bumblebee That's what you need.

The best solution I've found is to install and use playonlinux , sudo apt install playonlinux it will be in the game section of the menu. it allows you to install most versions of wine so if one program needs one version and another a newer or older one you can do that, plus it separates programs in...

you can try this in a terminal

sudo dpkg --configure -a

after that completes run this

sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade

When that is finished try installing filezilla again.

Hi flatiron, Those links are from very old test of that game. the latest I can find on wineHQ says it is a bronze.
