Hello Anaadi and Welcome to Linux Mint Forums,
You need to be connected via Ethernet cable they go to a terminal and type this command.

Code: Select all

sudo apt install bcmwl-kernel-source
Once the install is finished you should be able to connect your wireless. Good Luck.

Re: Add KDE desktop to Linux Mint

I have run Kubuntu for KDE and it's a good choice. Never got KDE neon going the way I wanted but did not waste much time on it either. I would be interested in the switch tool. But to be honest can't really see the reason to put KDE back on Mint. after installing with the tool will it be updated? I ...

Re: broadcom wifi driver mint 18.3 [solved]

Hello you should start a new thread for your question instead of one that is already solved. It' depends on which Broadcom card is in your machine. so use bcmwl and some use b43 drivers. If you can go to a terminal and type this command and post the output here: inxi -Nn \If it is indeed a card that...

Re: Wifi keeps disconnecting randomly

You can try this first and see if it helps. Turn of power saving in Network Manager, you do that by opening the file manager and navigating to /etc/NetworkManager/ once there right click on conf.d and open as administrator change the wifi.powersave = 3 line to wifi.powersave=2 then reboot. If it doe...

Re: Mint 19 MATE - Cant get to desktop

Just one observations from your output , according to Inxi you do not have an Nvidia graphics card so Nvidia 340 will not work you need Intell which should be part of the kernel.
I'll look a bit later and see if anything else could be wrong.

Re: Avast Antivirus

For checking files before transferring them to Windows machines, use Google-owned www.virustotal.com Virustotal has much more AV engines at its disposal, and you don't have to weigh your Linux down with useless antivirus crud that even *diminishes* security on your Linux desktop. Thank Pjotr what a...

Hello 9valyii and welcome to Linux Mint Forums, It's most likely not a good Idea to revert to -22 kernel as the updates contain security patches. Re: Moving Calibre library?

You can just move the folder with all your books calibre will pick it up and it works great. In fact I keep a back of my Calibre folder on a usb stick or in the cloud and if I reinstall just copy it to the new install.
Good luck.
