Most of the time your case it's and Nvidia driver problem boot in recovery mode and go to driver manager and try a different Nvidia driver. there may be a clue in this thread also. viewtopic.php?t=350367

Hi Matt, it looks to me like your HDD is almost full and yes that will slow things down. Best advise would be to remove any thing you don't need and clean the HDD. Give your self a bit more space. Yes I have Windows/ubuntu/mint is ubuntu the problem ? Your output show wayland is enabled. That should not be in a mint install. Not yet anyway. So somehow that has been changed. Should be x11.
