Re: Wireless: unavailable

I Believe the problem is that the wrong driver is loaded. it should be rt3290 not rt2800pci. if you can connect via Ethernet cable they try going to Menu> Aministration> Driver Manager and see if it will offer you the correct driver If not Then you can download if from here: http://www.mediafire.com...

Re: Cinamon crashed

I found the problem. The last update does not like the Nvidia 340 video driver. I removed the recommended nvidea driver and selected the xserver-org-video-noveau and everything works now. Wonder if the nvidea 340 driver will be updated? Glad you found the problem. with noveau if you have problems y...

update boot problems

If you did the update recently to get protection from the meltdown thing and have problems booting your machine
this could be the reason why:

Code: Select all

http://www.zdnet.com/article/linux-vs-meltdown-ubuntu-gets-second-update-after-first-one-fails-to-boot/

The latest updates should take care of it.

Re: Desktop freezes too often

Hello selion and Welcome to Linux Mint Forums,

I suspect it's you video card that causing the problem , first off you need to install the Nvidia 384.111 driver reboot see if that fixes the problem.
you can install the driver by going to Menu?> Administration> driver manager.
good Luck.
