Re: How to change application associated with opening folder

I'd call this curious inode/directory=soundconverter.desktop;totem.desktop;gnome-mplayer.desktop;vlc.desktop; in ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list The cache returns no results. Curious, indeed. Try backing up and editing the file to have : inode/directory=nemo.desktop This should fix the pr...

Re: How to change application associated with opening folder

Another idea : cat ~/.local/share/applications/mimeapps.list | grep -i totem cat ~/.local/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache | grep -i totem If not renamed in newer versions, totem is the video player known as "Videos". Is there something weird in the output of these commands ? I also figured out the...

Re: How to change application associated with opening folder

I don't have access to cinnamon right now, but do you have this in options, this may be a track :

It's called details in ubuntu menu and can also be launched with

gnome-control-center info

fschaap wrote: Thanks! I'm on the right way: Totem doesn't open now when I mount a volume, but neither does Nemo.
I'll have another look into xdg-mime.
Does nemo open if you enter this in a terminal ?

Code: Select all

xdg-open .

Re: Nemo column resize

This behavior is in the actual nemo 2.0.8 (name column truncated if necessary to have no horizontal scroll).
I don't know if it is already available in LMDE, but, if not, it is probably for soon.

It is readable/editable using dconf-editor from dconf-tools package.

I had something like that, and solved it by changing window effects in cinnamon settings.

Re: [Mint 14] Won't start after a restart

Hello, Try to install (if not) nvidia-xconfig package and then run "nvidia-xconfig" in a terminal, then reboot. This generates an appropriate xorg.conf. Worked for me with my problem in LMDE. There is also a package i forgot the name that recommends the best version of nvidia non-free drivers for yo...
