Re: Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" RC1 released!

Great! Little disappointed that the artwork didn't change after some of the work that sputty worked hard on and turned out great. But that is small. Impressed to see an RC1 coming out so quick.

Re: Gnome Panel background idea

Never noticed that before, nice find. But I actually think that would be a think to take up with Gnome to make them use different images for those two things from the task bar. Given you can prevent it to a degree so Mint can have a different setting, but Mint isn't totally to blame either. Slipknot...

Re: I just installed Mint ... now what?

What is the md5checksum? After you download a file that is pretty big size you usually want to check it against a md5 file. Basically what it does is makers sure you have every part of the file correctly, you might have a corrupted file somewhere. I don't think this is the case since you had one in...

Re: Want Linux, but Latest Apps are Driving Me Back to Windows

second the getdeb site. You just need to learn how to download applications like you do in the windows environment. Think of it like this, Windows does not have a package manager, so what do you? You go out to the website and download the .exe file to install it. Well in Linux, when you can't find t...

Kickass stuff there Sputty! They are all great, and yes, I think it has to much flair on the new blue on because of your monitor thing. Just tone it down a tad.

Re: Blue Wallpaper

Depending on where you live that ain't impossible... The 30" monitors are starting to crawl down into a range that mere mortals can afford, at least here in Sweden. What you DO need is a graphic card that can run it, usually something with DVI link capability. Yeah, I'm going to be upgr...

Re: Wake Up Call

I too started to watch it. What really got me going down this rabbit hole was http://zeitgeistmovie.com/ . It too is 2+ hours but it steams near dvd quality and is quite interesting. Watch at your own risk - Having said that disclaimer I would reccomend it to anyone with even a half-way open mind.....
