Re: Helena Xfce CE Development(updated Dec 29)

Just search for it in the "Add new items" window.
I found something that is perhaps called "Eject devices" (in German its "Gerät einhängen") and its description is something like:
Shows all ejectable devices and ejects them on mouseclick

Is that the same??

Re: Helena KDE ideas

Absolute WORST IDEA. I use it, and only it. About 3 mouse clicks would enable kwallet for the few that need it enabled. KMail and Kopete will work with or without kwallet enabled. It also takes 3 clicks then to disable it ;) An other way is to click on the cancel button, the first time kmail or any...

Re: Helena KDE ideas

I would like some feedback about this idea. I saw this tip today on the Kubuntu forum about turning off KWallet, it is annoying and letting the applications remember passwords seems like a better solution. Here is the tip. K Menu > System Settings > Advanced > KDE Wallet > Wallet Preferences and un...

Re: Folder View Widget moves and resizes every login

Hm i had that problem too.
The following worked for me.
Remove the folder-widget from the desktop. Logout, Login.
Put the folder-widget back to the desktop, to the place you want it to be and change the size to the one you like. Don't do anything else just, logout, Login.

(My System: P4, 3Ghz 512MB RAM Geforce 5600FX 128MB 1GB Swap) I disabled compositing and now its ok, but amarok2 is really slow. Bootup-Time is fast maybe one minute, but then i'm only at the login screen ;-) kde4 needs more RAM then kde3, as i noticed at my ram-meter. With kde3 ram was full when ko...

Re: Linux Mint 7 KDE RC1 Bug Thread

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not but when I installed my laptop's volume control key changed the volume bar, but the volume wasn't changed. I had to change the channel of kmix from pcm to master in order for them to actually change volume. Another thing I noticed is that in the network manager ...

But thats really very strange...
It installed Mint without asking for user/pw and also NOT asking where to install?

Re: Mint 6 asks for password during install

Hu? Sounds like you havent installed Mint now. You only booted into the live system.
So all your settings will be lost when rebooting or shuting down the system.

If you install Mint then you must also set up a password and an username and Mint will ask for that at the log-in screen.

At the bottom of the "enable web shortcuts" window is a DropDownfield. You could set this to "colon" or to "space" (or something like that) If I set this to space I get the same behaviour. Perhaps your setting is "space" but you should set it to colon? Try &qu...
