Mint OS sounds good but how 'bout "MentOS" :) Technically speaking Linux is the OS, Mint is just a flavor..... literally. :mrgreen: . Actually, technically speaking, Linux is *only* the kernel, GNU is nearly everything else ;) But without the kernel, what do you have? No OS :cry: .

Have you installed the proprietary codecs from the repositories? Mplayer doesn't work for me either to play .mov files, but VLC and Totem work just fine.
