Oops ! :) Thx for sharing the link. I'd suggest to use Synaptic Package Manager, and use the Status button to find your installed openoffice version, and 'Mark for complete removal'. You can also use the quick search feature to find all openoffice remnants too. Keep un-installing till your satisfie...

I see the Linux downloads are RPM based packages, which is for Fedora based distros. They will NOT work in Debian/Ubuntu based distros which use DEB packages. You may be able to convert them with Alien but I don't know. Or download & compile the source code . . debs are here: http://download.docume...

i did a fedora install about a week ago and was able to choose encryption and ext4 at the partioning stage. i would also like to see that in mint.

is there a way for me convert my current mint6 install from ext3 to ext4? or i'd be willing to re-install on ext4 if that was only option. i was able to install fedora on ext4 by adding "ext4" switch when i booted from the cd, but it didn't work with mint. also, is there a cutting edge perpetual bet...

could be that i'm using an hdmi input, i've seen some other posts about hdmi problems. will test it in a day or 2. till then i'll keep talking to myself. :lol:
