I did that and the filters are saved...BUT Timeshift is ignorim them.
Because it still was copying Virtalbox imagaes and after deleting them
With X is working.

I don't think that matters,
for me is on another partitition and the my filters are in the picture above

I also use GSmartControl and I have some external drives/enclosures that let me do tests when plugged in via USB but other enclosures that, as you say, are greyed out. Wow ! thank you for the detailed example. I will make a try on a Virtualbox machine. First of all, I'm way to excited that I can finally click where I want, to care that much for the scroll speed :) So far I'm astonished that nobody fixes this somehow for the newbie users that come from Mac or WinOS...
