I’m usingwhat theme are using for the Cinnamon Desktop?
System Settings > Themes > Desktop > Black Mate
Looks like that's the reason I can't change it.
Any way around that?

NoSystem Settings > Application Style > Window Decorations - is there a section, icon, or tab with Shadow or Shadow effects ?

ok, i booted win 10 using a super-grub USB. i made the changes To disable it: Open Control Panel Click Power Options Click Choose what the power buttons do Click Change settings that are currently unavailable Scroll down to Shutdown settings and uncheck Turn on fast startup Click Save changes reboot...

don't remember.When you first installed Linux, did the installer see the Windows installation?
i can access win 10 with the file mgr. is it possible to make those changes?

that's possible . . . any way to fix it?Another possibility is that Windows was installed in UEFI mode from the manufacturer and you installed Linux in Legacy mode.
