My mouth is watering waiting for it.....as of right now there is no email integration, it only works with other wave users. They are hoping the community hacks email in there.

Re: How to get Soundblaster X-Fi soundcard to work in Mint 7?

X-FI doesn't really have any support at this time....I heard it will work partially through oss....but I believe the x-fi supoort will be in the next alsa. I have one also, been using an old tulip card awaiting my x-fi to work. I would think this will be resolved in mint 8...this is mainly a soundbl...

Gaming on linux isn't very complicated at all, unless your trying windows games.

Re: Artist needed?

Lol...i'm a Texan myself. I will look around for images....But basically the spin is going to be Xfce with a bunch of Ruby stuff included. The coolest part is i'm going to try to make the Rush Shell the default. It's pretty cool, replaces bash and is a pure ruby shell, so you actually do everything ...

Artist needed?

Hey folks.....as a hobby project I am forking mint for my own needs...nothing to fancy, but I'm adding some things like the Rush shell, shoes, and a bunch of other ruby stuff...just because I love ruby. Re: Linux Mint 7 RC1 Bug Thread

1. I could not find mintupload in the menu

2. When I tried it with the command line I got the following

Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/lib/linuxmint/mintUpload/mintUpload.py", line 783, in <module>
filename = sys.argv[1]

Re: Linux Mint 7 RC1 Bug Thread

not necessarily a bug, but gnome-do is there by default. But the plugin package is not. I would say either take gnome-do out of the iso or add the plugins package to make it useful out of the box.

Re: mint and personal views...

I believe it is Clems honest personal belief, and as the founder of Mint, I would guess he could blog anything he wants. The issue obviously disturbs him(whether I agree or not) and he needed to vent. It still doesn't take away from Mint as a distro.
