Re: Issue printing with Firefox 86 in Mint 20.1

It is definitely a problem with Mint 20.1 .
I was using the OEM Firefox and printing worked fine until I upgraded from 20.

Caja Drag and Drop

Is there any way to get Caja to indicate which folder you are dropping into like thunar etc? The folder changes colour but once it is open there is no way to tell if you are dropping into that folder. Thunar shows the folder opening and Nemo draws a highlight box around it. Caja nothing. Using Mate ...

Re: Mate volume display popup

Thanks MrBob22 but not exactly what I was looking for. I have a multimedia keyboard with the volume keys and when I press up or down a little window pops up in the middle of my screen, blocking the video for a second after I finish adjusting. Not a big deal, but I would like to get rid of it. I woul...

Mate volume display popup

Is there any way to switch the location of the popup showing volume level when using keyboard to adjust. Mine pops up centre screen. I would rather have a little slider type display that comes out of the volume icon on the bar.

Wireless connection information

When I right click on my network icon on the menu bar I can select 'Connection Information' and it tells me all about the network. Is there another tool I can use to get this info so I can print it out?

Re: 10 instances of x-caja-desktop at login

This just started for me. Mint Mate 16. I have been running this for over a month and I haven't installed anything new in a week. I don't know if this is related but just before it started I had been looking through dconf editor and gconfig editor to find a way to remove items from the caja right cl...

Re: nvidia-settings-rc not being loaded

Update to my above post. I editted the command line in the startup programs tool to the following - sh -c nvidia-settings --load-config-only . All I did was remove the ' marks and the path to the nvidia-settings. It works the same if I take out the sh -c. Now it loads the settings but leaves the nvi...

Nemo File Manager not automatically refreshing.

When I create a new folder I have to collapse and expand the tree view for it to show. Also, when I unzip an archive with a folder in it, I have to refresh in order to see it. This also occurs for new file icons.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

nvidia-settings-rc not being loaded

LM16 64 Cinnamon. The .nvidia-settings-rc not being loaded on startup. The nvidia x server settings runs in the startup apps with - sh -c '/usr/bin/nvidia-settings --load-config-only' but doesn't load the .nvidia-settings-rc file.
Any ideas on how to get this to work properly?

Re: [SOLVED] Adobe Reader not working in Mint 14 Cinnamon

I am running Mint 16 Cinnamon and I changed precise to quantal because I thought I would get a newer version. Not sure if it is newer but it worked. Saucy didn't work.

Re: Suspicious source for updating time -Akamai? Security ho

I am wondering if it is the weather option of the clock that could be trying to contact Akamai. Like catweazel says, they are a large hosting and caching service. I tried the lsof -i command myself and at first all it showed was clock connecting to cogeco because I am in Ontario. After searching the...

Re: Black Edge on screen

If you haven't solved this yet, the only things I can think of would be to use an aspect ratio that is closer to your monitor's - 4:3 etc. You might be able to adjust your monitor to make it fit better also. My Acer monitor has an auto-set feature that works pretty well.

Re: Update adobe flash player

Flash player is working in Firefox for me. I was wondering if in the future if we could install Google Chromium and then create a link to its flash player in the Mozilla plugins directory? That way we can still use Firefox.
