Re: executing a command at start of cinnamon

Thanks passerby, but unfortunately it didn't work. So may I request your guidance on creating the bash script? I have zero knowledge of those and I don't know where to start.

executing a command at start of cinnamon

I'm wondering, is there a way to execute commands at startup, right after the desktop is booted (e.g. cinnamon)? I'm trying to use redshift to tone down the blue light on my screen, as I find it too blue. It's getting a bit tedious having to enter the command everytime I boot. I'm guessing I need to...

Re: USB hub problems

Thanks for the reply monsta. The hub indeed receives power via dc input, as it has individual switches with power indicators on it. And it functions properly under OS X and windows. I guess I'll try again with another hub and see where the problem is.

USB hub problems

Hi everyone, I have a problem with using usb hubs on my macbook 2,1; running linux mint 14. Here's the problem: When connecting an external keyboard through a usb hub, the external keyboard does not work for a (very) short while, and then it functions perfectly. However, when I connect another usb d...
