Ok thanks to those who replied. I will give Foxclone a shot. Downloaded it last night and will burn it to a USB stick. I will consider this question as answered and solved

So...what I would like to do is go to a larger drive but still only for /. Home lives on a separate 4Tb drive and ...

Ok so simple question. Can I rename fstab, reboot and will that recreate a fixed version?

Re: Crash??
So when I open up the file manager it used to list all my drives by their names and had the information with it. Now I get only my home directory and its contents. Back in time can no longer find its external drive. Instead I get a message to turn on the external drive...it's always on. So I turn it...

This is what Synaptic comes back with. At this point it's not that big a deal as 1.5.7 seems to be working just fine.

I have followed all the steps outlined, including step 4. I have purged all of Flash remnants from my system. Seems there was still one item that got missed and will try again to update to Mint 20.2.

Yup that's the first thing I did was remove Flash but clearly didn't get it all. I was aware that Flash had been removed from virtually everything.

So...for now I've reverted back to Mint 20.1 (thanks Timeshift) and I'll wait out this for now. I think it's a glitch in the update process but for now I'll stick with Min 20.1. Solved...for me anyway.

Re: Tray notification applet
I did an upgrade and yes am using the same theme as previous. Since posting this it still does what I've described but it only launches one app now (not the one who's notification I click on). It consistently launches Qbittorrent. I will try to figure out why that is the only app.
