Nope it should not cause any issues to remove pulseaudio if you do not need it or anything that relies on it.

Assuming you want to install the drivers from the debian repo then I believe that card would require the legacy-173xx drivers from non-free

They both provide the same basic thing....panel, window borders,menu, etc... I like E17 because it provides exactly what I want without a lot of stuff I do not want. I consider it light enough but not so light that I have to add tools to perform the basics. I also like that it does not use a process...

As for nvidia installer...... I would have never been able to figure out how to install nvidia. If you had never been spoiled with a GUI and knew how to install nvidia drivers then you would not have had any problem. Are you sure those GUI programs that do things for you are a good thing? Unless you know you need it I would simply remove the package. You might also drop a line to marillat@free.fr and let him know about the size mismatch.

I use chromium but midori is cool too. I do not find any full feature browser to be any faster/lighter than another full feature browser.
