Treiuberverwaltung -> einen der vorgeschlagenen Treiuber installieren
Updatemanager -> Kernel aufräumen

Re: Does SSD still need optimization on cinnamon 19.1

There is absolutely no need to do something for a SSD except simpole install linux on it. The OS itself does anything you may ever can do to the health of a SSD.

With Mint 19.1 it got perfect on it.

You need to write a new partition table to remove the old DOS/compatible partition table GGPT is not a single partition - it is a partition table, allowing unlimited number and size of partitions. Writing a partition tabe kills all partitions and data on the drive. sudo fdisk -l will list any partit...

You must shutdownwindows completely to get another OS up to boot.

Since Mint 19 the live system boots to UEFI in default like W10 install does already.

UEFI needs a partition table of type GPT. UEFI may not work propperly with DOS partition type. You will have to write a new partition table of type GPT. This will loose any partition and any content on that drive.

xed is the name of the deffault editor. sudo shutdown shuts down the system sudo reboot reboots the system Up to mint 19 the classic install was compatible/DOS mode. Qindows 10 installs in UEFI mode. Since Minst 19 even Mint installs like windows 10 in UEFI mode. That makes MBR superflous.. Mixup of...

You have to understund that in contrast to windows linux is a real multiuser system. root is truly another user with its own environment. A terminal uses an extended environment than a terminal. sudo is incomplete on that. It callls rroot in textenvironment , leavin the graphical shell out., So star...
