Re: [SOLVED} Very Basic Linux Mint

I haven't tried a minimal version of any other Linux system because I like LMDE the best. I just want to get it as efficient as I can and still work the way I want it to. So far I have deleted a total of 57 files plus all of the orphaned files caused by these deletions. The footprint is a lot smalle...

Re: Very Basic Linux Mint

If I could get one or two files from each person, that would work.

[SOLVED] Very Basic Linux Mint

I am trying to uninstall whatever I can and still end up with a very basic boot-able Linux Mint system. So far I have deleted blueberry, bluez, bluez-obexd, caja, caja-extensions-common, caja-gksu, caja-open-terminal, caja-share, caja-sendto, caja-extensions-dbg, cowsay, gimp, gimp-data, keepass2, n...

Re: Way To Determine What System Hardware Drivers Get Installed During Installlation?

I agree! These sound like good ideas to me. I think that there are many programs that get installed which I (and others) will never use.

I have been using LMDE/2 since it came out and I have no complaints whatsoever. I also have MINT 18 installed but I use LMDE/2.

I think that you misunderstood my OP. I do not want to delete these posts from the forum. I just want some way to select only English posts when I read them.

Is there a way to only get posts that are in English on the Forum? I don't understand any other language.

Re: LMDE vs. Debian

I think that there are a lot of LMDE-2 users but they don't have any problems with it so they don't have to write about it on this forum. I am one of them. It works perfectly for me and I have been using it ever since LMDE-1 came out.

Re: numeric pad always on, also before login screen, why not default?

I agree, they SHOULD always be on. I don't know why anyone would want it off but if they did, itr would be simple to opt-out.

When you set-up your printer and it asked if you wanted to print a test page, did it print?
