Re: Downgrading to Firefox 25

Well, I had assumed that I wasn't getting any replies to this thread, though that's because I forgot to subscribe to it. Anyways, the freezing problem was narrowed down to an extension, Memory Restart, which was causing the browser to freeze whenever it checked memory usage. Since Firefox 26 had som...

Flash Crash in Chromium

Lately, I've been bouncing back and forth between Firefox and Chromium. I switch to Chromium because Firefox's performance has been horrendous for the past two releases, and I switch back to Firefox because of minor issues with Chromium, and one major issue. The major issue is that the Flash plugin ...

Downgrading to Firefox 25

Is there any way I can downgrade from Firefox 26 to Firefox 25? I'm being affected by a serious performance problem in Firefox 26 where it freezes each second, making it take about 10-20 times longer to do things or load pages.

RSS Feed Reader?

I updated to Linux Mint 15 the other day, and one thing that irked me was that Liferea no longer minimizes to the system tray in LXDE. Does anyone know of any way to fix this? Or, failing that, does anyone know of any decent graphical feed readers I can use? (I've tried Akregator, Thunderbird, and B...

Questions about the status of AMD Graphics

Some questions I was asked somewhat recently by a friend of mine has me wondering about the state of AMD/ATI graphics cards under Linux. I honestly don't know, and I'd prefer not to fall back on information that was relevant three years ago if that info isn't correct anymore. Otherwise, I'm just mak...

Re: Switch to SystemD

I've just started using Linux Mint today, I can honestly say that I using SystemD is a very bad idea. Under Arch Linux, I had been dealing with more and more stability problems, whereas I had almost no stability problems prior to its adoption of SystemD. It got to the point where I considered it les...
