Re: HP envy m6 p113dx Is this notebook installable?

I received an email from a previous thread I wrote on this subject. I had the same problem. I "solved" the problem in that I can get Ubuntu-based Linux distros to work but every time I boot I have to power cycle before a certain point, and if it goes to sleep it rarely wakes properly. I'm definitel...

Re: HP envy m6 p113dx Is this notebook installable?

I have been using the Recovery mode that contains the no...

Re: Live DVD wil not boot on laptop

OK! It was the the media used or the way I recorded it. I tried a Live BDS that I burned with same problem. A Live Sabyon a friend gave me worked. So, it is the DVD player being too choosy on the laptop. They all worked on my desktop. Thanks for the reply.

How do I generate a hardware report ?

I want to get a hardware report to find the mother board model of my custom built desktop. The boot up info goes too fast to copy the numbers. Firefox bogs down CPU resources. So, I am thinking extra RAM will help with my 512 MB system. Thanks, Mike
