Re: Installing Mint Linux 7 On An Asus EEEPC 1000HE Netbook

I've been running the disto on mine since Linux Mint 5. It runs great. Everything is really snappy and functions well after you install the eeepc specific custom kernal from array.org, and maybe some ACPI scripts from the forum website previously mentioned above. This version of ubuntu really added ...

Edit: Maybe even linux mint 5 now that i think of it. Just open a terminal, plug your eeepc into a wired network and your go...

Hey everyone, I have a problem that hopefully i can get some help with. I recently went through the upgrade path for moving from 6 -> 7. I've restarted the desktop system a few times, and have had no problems until this morning when my sound completely stopped working. I have two sound cards, one i ...

Re: What to tell my parents...

Okay, well if they don't use it at all and your the sole user then that usually is enough for most people. I personally don't know your parents... so really think of what my suggestions, and others here, first before approaching your parents. On your laptop, does it come with a restore disk? Or does...

Re: Mint on Asus Eee 901

Heya there Zoomzar! One thing the EEEpc has helped me with is getting to really experience and learn more about linux. I love it! And yes, Linux Mint runs beautifully on the eeepc. I have the 1000HA, and of course LM is my favorite distro of all time no matter what computer I am using. I don't like ...

Re: Linux Mint 6 "Felicia" released!

Awesome! I love Linux Mint, been using RC1 since it was announced, and even upgraded it to the release when that blog post came up. Been loving it since on my EEEpc 1000HA. Now that I have an .iso for Felicia, I am going to install it onto some other peoples laptops for them to try out. Much Apprici...
