Can't login to another tty console (ctrl+alt+f1) [SOLVED]
I get a login prompt, type my login name, press enter, then it's like enter is continually pressed automatically somehow so I can't enter my password.

Turns out i didn't need SteamOS... found the option 'big picture mode' in the steam client app.

fixed by hitting ctrl+alt+f1 editing mdm.conf to disable auto login then restarting mdm.
Now to figure out a way for simple switching between sessions.
read something about launching steamos from xbmc/kodi, will investigate.

Thanks roblm, that is very helpful.
When getting to the favorites icons by pressing SUPER then TAB then LEFT ARROW, the highlighted icon is not obvious when viewing from a distance. Is there a way to change this?

E.g. I would like to be able to select "Quit" by pressing Super, then up arrow then enter.
