Re: Fade In Bug?
Ok. So maybe the issue is that the Fade In fails to go completely in on the VirtualBox Graphics Driver. There's another bug too. You can't take a screenshot in a virtual machine. You can take a screenshot from the host of the VM, but not inside the VM. You get black. So looks like the VirtualBox gr...

Re: Washed out desktop background image in Mint 19 Virtualbox VM
This is really strange. I'm running Mint 19 XFCE as my main OS (in a VM; host is Windows 10 w/Nvidia GeForce 960), along with 7 other Linux OSes (Mint 19 Cinnamon/LMDE 3 Beta, CentOS 7, Fedora 28 XFCE/Gnome, Manjaro 17, Ubuntu 18.04), and I can't duplicate this error. Can anyone here install anothe...

Re: Case insensitivity while trying to rename file on NAS in LM19
Is the NAS a windows file server? WIndows is not known for making case significant. Is the file accessed via a CIFS share? I am not sure but I don't think that shares accessed via CIFS (windows share protocol) keep all the properties etc. that files on the local file system do. Have you tried acces...

Case insensitivity while trying to rename file on NAS in LM19
I am experiencing and issue with case insensitivity. I am trying to change the case in a filename on a remotely connect server (NAS) and I am getting an error that the file already exists. This doesn't happen when doing it within the local filesystem. This is on a fresh install of LM19.

Re: Shared Folder not working in Mint 19
I did a fresh install of Linux Mint 19 in Virtualbox and this issue does not exist so it appears the issue only occurs when updating LM18 to LM19.

Re: Washed out desktop background image in Mint 19 Virtualbox VM
Just to add more information, I just did a fresh install of Mint19 in VirtualBox and I am having the same issue so it does not appear to be related to the upgrade from 18 to 19 but Linux Mint 19 itself.

Re: Mint 19 - Cannot delete directories in shared directory
Just wanted to drop a note to say I am experiencing the same issue. I upgraded my Virtualbox install of Linux Mint 18 to Linux Mint 19 and I am unable to delete folders on a shared network drive via Nemo. The UI shows it get deleted but if I refresh the folder, it is still there.

Re: Shared Folder not working in Mint 19
Not sure how this would be a Windows issue since the simple act of upgrading Linux Mint caused this functionality to stop working.

Washed out desktop background image in Mint 19 Virtualbox VM
I have been running Mint 18.3 on Virtualbox 5.2.8 for a while with no issues. After upgrading to Mint 19, the background image is washed out. It doesn't matter which image is selected. Right clicking on the desktop, selecting "Change desktop background image" and choosing a new image and t...

Re: Shared Folder not working in Mint 19
I tried...no dice. Does anyone know where/how VirtualBox handles the mounting? I’ve seen mention of adding it to /etc/profile but I’d rather put it where VirtualBox does if possible.

Re: Shared Folder not working in Mint 19
I just upgraded my guest OS from Mint 18.3 to Mint 19 and I am having the same problem. My user is in the vboxsf group. The folders are set to automount and did just fine in previous Mint versions. The actual folders exist under the /media directory but they are empty. I am, however, able to mount t...

Upgrading to the latest 3.13 series kernel did not work. However, upgrading to the latest 3.16 kernel appears to have resolved the problem.
Thanks.
Thanks.
