Re: Reducing mouse sensitivity

Thank you for responding. Might take me a couple of days to digest this

I've run various Linux for several years now, but you would not call me a software expert, LOL.

Re: Reducing mouse sensitivity

440roadrunner, it's usually better to start a new thread than to tag onto a months old thread started by someone else. My question IS ABOUT this thread, what am I supposed to do start a new one and quote this one? I don't know how to do that. I'm asking what to do with the above information. I do n...

Re: Unkown, Google? Firefox? System? infestation?

Thanks very much for the replies. It may take some time to learn "Greasemonkey"

Would posting some sample Google URLs help any?

I'm inclined to think this is some sort of infection, as I have not changed anything on my own.

Unkown, Google? Firefox? System? infestation?

I realize this is probably not a Linux problem, but I don't even know where to start----------- Symptoms: See the screenshots, below of a Google Image search. Google now brings up an irritating black panel when you select a photo, and this adds another layer of nonsense in a search scheme. Linux Min...

Re: Firefox, aspx, "mobile sites", general B.S.

I did post over at Firefox, and I've also Googled and found several complaints about this very problem. Firefox/ Mozilla responses, as I said above, most generally talk asbout "clearing the cache", cookies, etc, which does not work.

Firefox, aspx, "mobile sites", general B.S.

I'm not sure where to post this. I've Googled. I've got one site which I would VERY much like to visit, www.summitracing.com Anytime I try to visit the site, Firefox "wants" to download something called "moblilelanding.aspx" or else it seems to divert to their mobile website. I posted a photo of the...

Re: Asus, WIRED Atheros network not working

After thrashing around unsuccessfully, with some 4 different USED Linksys routers (got them cheap,) I went back to the original Netgear router, all reset as "default." For no good reason, wireless has been connected OK through the day. WIRED is still not working. I Googled your "Russian" and think I...

Re: Brasero, other, won't open or install

Thanks that worked to reinstall, but appears not the problem. It turns out---after some fiddling, (I have two drives, a DVD and CD, both burners) that if you insert a blank media, the program will NOT open Additionally, I opened the program, then inserted the source CD (to copy), and it looked OK at...

Brasero, other, won't open or install

Hi folks, I'm a newbie, both to Linux and Mint. I REALLY like the layout of Mint (Elyssa5) but today ran into a problem Let me preface--only CD/DVD burning I've done in Mint was to download two ISO's right click them and select "write to disc" from the menu. So the hardware should work This morning ...
