I've already installed all the required apps and drivers.. and more over I did not have the drive connected during installation..
I used Cinnamon desktop before this and it had no auto mounting problems I switched to KDE just recently and the experience is quite dissappointing..

Even If I remove the last three lines from fstab it still gives the same error.

Thank you... It worked.. :) But during boot up it shows : Error while mounting /etc/fstab press s to skip or m for manual recovery I skipped using s key and everything works as expected. All the drives mounted as required. Is there any way to remove this error I'm using UUID code but the other metho...

An option is you can install Linux Mint 15 using mint4win and then upgrade it to Linux Mint 16 after installation.
